5th ESG Autumn School set for May

ESG Network Zimbabwe is set to host the 5th ESG Masterclass from 20 – 23 May 2025 at Tamarind Resort in Kariba.

This year’s Masterclass will run under the Theme: “Building a Sustainable Future: ESG Capacity Building for Zimbabwean Organizations”

Overview:

The world is at a critical juncture, where the pursuit of economic growth and prosperity must be balanced with the need to protect the environment, respect human rights, and promote good governance. The increasing awareness of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues has led to a growing demand for businesses to prioritize sustainability, social responsibility, and transparency.

In Zimbabwe, companies are facing growing pressure from investors, regulators, and consumers to adopt ESG best practices and demonstrate their commitment to responsible business conduct. However, many companies lack the expertise, resources, and guidance needed to effectively integrate ESG into their operations.

To address this gap, the annual ESG Masterclass is therefore designed to equip business leaders, sustainability professionals, and investors with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to navigate the complexities of ESG and drive sustainable growth.

Objectives

  1. Enhance ESG knowledge and understanding: Equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  2. Develop practical ESG skills: Provide participants with practical skills and tools to integrate ESG into their business operations, including risk management, opportunity identification, and reporting.
  3. Foster a culture of sustainability and responsibility: Inspire participants to become champions of sustainability and responsibility within their organizations, promoting a culture of ESG excellence.
  4. Facilitate networking and collaboration: Provide a platform for participants to connect with peers, share experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  5. Promote ESG innovation and leadership: Encourage participants to think creatively about ESG challenges and opportunities, and to develop innovative solutions that drive sustainable growth.
